Boundary cases

A business label doesn’t decide the structure. One question does.

Violet “from” tags mark sections borrowed from a second pattern. These are combinations, not new patterns.

  1. Independent garage

Does the customer bring the car to you, or do you go to them?

A drive-in garage. Venue structure, with the fixed-price list and checkable authorization that trades proof needs.

Starts from Shops, cafés and venues.
  2. Building contractor

Is the job won on finished projects, or on turning up this week?

A builder who needs both. Portfolio’s project proof, with the area, the process and the quote route a local service needs.

Starts from Portfolio, for a person or a firm.
  3. Freight and haulage, business to business

Is the work a quoted service to a defined area, or a product to browse?

Quoted service over routes. Trades structure with no urgency and no call-first: the quote leads, routes replace towns.

Starts from Trades and call-out services.
  4. Airport transfers

Do people choose a priced item and book a date, or describe a job?

Routes as bookable items. Listings with each route as an item, booked by date.

Starts from Listings, rooms and tours.
  5. Repair counter that also calls out

Do customers walk in with the device, or does someone come to the washing machine?

One business, two jobs. Venue home with a call-out route alongside: both jobs visible, neither forced into the other.

Starts from Shops, cafés and venues.
  6. Estate agent: sellers and buyers

Which audience pays, and which one browses?

Two journeys on one home. Listings for buyers, with the practice’s person-and-fee path for sellers. The library still allows one primary action per page; which leads is the project’s decision.

Starts from Listings, rooms and tours.
  7. Medical-tourism agency

Is the client choosing a treatment and a person, or comparing providers?

Treatments, with partner clinics as items. Practice structure for the treatment decision, with partner clinics listed as items.

Starts from Advisers, practices and clinics.
